The HMTA/PTF organization consists of private studio teachers, music program teachers, college students and collegiate faculty in the Harrisonburg/Shenandoah Valley area. All music teachers are welcome! HMTA/PTF events include presentations and workshops for teacher growth and development, learning and performing opportunities for students, and mentoring for collegiate, pre-professional music teachers.

Piano Teachers Forum (PTF) Membership
If you wish to join our group as a member of our local organization only through our Piano Teachers Forum option ($25 annual membership fee), please contact us at [email protected]. Membership to the HMTA-PTF is free for college students.
Harrisonburg Music Teachers Association (HMTA) Membership
HMTA is a local chapter of the Music Teachers National Association and the Virginia Music Teachers Association. You may join MTNA directly by going to their Membership Webpage. Membership to the HMTA-PTF is free for college students. For any questions, email [email protected].
