Location: Forbes Center, JMU Refreshments provided by the hospitality committee were offered at 9:30 AM, and the meeting began at 10 AM. Around 23 members attended Eloise Kornicke's presentation, Perceptions on Piano Pedagogy – After 40+ Years of Piano Teaching. Ms. Kornicke gave a wonderful presentation that included many teaching tips for technique, sight-reading, and performance. She shared her personal experiences of working with students, offering helpful advice to HMTA teachers about time management in lessons, student motivation, and practice strategies.
